Earlier this year, Earshot Audiopost had the privilege to work on an amazing short animated film, "A Drawing", created by Brad Condie, a Ball State University Assistant Professor in Animation. Before joining BSU, Condie spent nine years with Disney as an animator and seven years with Electronic Arts (EA).
“A Drawing” tells the story of a young boy who misses the chance to say goodbye to his dying mother. Through a deep desire, he wills himself to try to see her again. Brad Condie and his team brought the story to life by creating thousands of hand-drawn frames of pencil-on-paper animation.
The original score for the film was composed by Earshot’s Mina Keohane and features Grover Parido on cello, Kathy Hershberger on violin, and Mina Keohane on piano. The score was recorded and mixed by Brice Bowman in Studio 1 at Earshot Audiopost. Bowman also handled Foley, sound design and the final mix.
The film has screened and garnered awards at film festivals around the world – check out: https://www.facebook.com/adrawingshortfilm/
