IndyCar 36 is a new series focusing on the life of an IndyCar driver for a 36-hour period, giving viewers their first real opportunity to go behind the scenes with a driver, including pre-race preparation, as well as all of the drama on the track and from the pits during an actual race. IMS Productions is producing these 30-minute features and contacted Earshot Audio Post to mix the inaugural episode, which features driver Tony Kanaan. An IMS Productions crew followed Kanaan, driver of the No. 11 GEICO | Mouser Electronics-KV Racing Technology w/ SH car, during the St. Petersburg race weekend. Earshot’s Rick Such engineered the mix in Studio A and the episode will air on the new NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus). The timeline to finish the episode was tight.
