Brice Bowman attended Indiana University and graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Telecommunications and Philosophy in 1981. From 1981 to 2001, he served as Chief Audio Engineer for Caboose Productions, a commercial audio production facility in Indianapolis. In 2002, Brice and co-owner Rick Such started Earshot Audio Post in the heart of Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis.

Throughout his career, Brice has won numerous local, regional, and national Addy, Telly, Clio, and Silver Microphone Awards. He has been nominated for five National Emmy Awards for his sound design and mixing for ABC Sports and ESPN.​

In May of 2006, Brice traveled to Lincoln Center in New York City, where he accepted a National Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Audio for ABC Sports’ opening for the 2005 Indianapolis 500 worldwide broadcast, entitled “Speed City.” In May of 2007, Brice won a second National Sports Emmy Award for “Ghosts of Indy” — ABC Sports’ opening for the 2006 Indianapolis 500 global broadcast.

Brice has taught Advanced Sound Design in the New Media Department of the School of Informatics at IUPUI. He is a private pilot, a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and is presently building his own plane — a Van’s Aircraft RV-9A.​

Brice also owns Bowman Technologies, Inc., which produces electronic tools for the recording industry. BTI’s premier product, the QSII Digital Timer is used in recording studios around the country, including the control rooms and studios here at Earshot.

A native of Indianapolis, Rick graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1987 and continued his education at Ball State University. There, he earned a bachelor of science degree in telecommunications, along with a minor in geography. During the summer of 1991, Rick completed an internship with Caboose Productions in Indianapolis, where he became a full-time staff engineer upon graduation from Ball State. During his ten-year tenure at Caboose, Rick engineered hundreds of award-winning audio projects and eventually became responsible for computer development and maintenance.

In 2002, Rick, left his position at Caboose to launch Earshot Audiopost with business partner, Brice Bowman.

In addition to his engineering and ownership roles at Earshot, Rick has served as president of the Ball State Telecommunications Alumni Board, and is a former member of Native View Pictures, a production conglomerate that focused on the creation and production of fascinating documentaries. Rick is also the creator and co-host of Inside MusiCast, an audio podcast program heard worldwide and features interviews with the best musicians in the music industry. In 2009, Rick was recognized by the Ball State Telecommunications Department with the Distinguished Alumni Of The Year Award, which he shares with past Ball State telecommunications alumni, including David Letterman.  In 2017, Rick also received a distinguished alumni recognition from Beech Grove High School.

This is a case of an internship paying off in a big way. While studying for his bachelor of science degree in telecommunications from Ball State University, Ben spent the summer of 2004 interning at Earshot Audio-Post. During the summer of 2006, Ben was hired full-time, and since then he has had the pleasure of recording, sound designing, and mixing hundreds of projects for radio, television, film, and other digital media.

Working at Earshot Audio-Post has also afforded Ben opportunities to work on some interesting, ongoing after-hours projects. Since 2007, Ben has served as a planning committee member for Tonic Ball, one of the biggest and most popular annual charity art and music events in Indianapolis. Ben has also provided audio work on promotional materials for the Naptown Roller Girls. Ben edits and mixes filmmaker interview podcasts for Heartland Truly Moving Picture and produces, writes, edits, and mixes his own absurd comedy podcast Alphabet Drippings.

Margaux joined Earshot as the new Studio Manager in January 2022 and is reunited with Brice and Rick, as they once worked together at Caboose Productions. Margaux brings many years of experience to Earshot, as she’s been involved in the production and advertising industry for over 30 years.

Originally from Washington state, Haley Morkert left her home town to pursue her education at Butler University. There she graduated in 2023 with a bachelor of art in Music Industry Studies, Creative Media Production, and Web Design and Development. During her senior year, she began her internship at Earshot Audio-Post to further her knowledge in audio engineering, recording, sound designing and mixing. In the Fall of 2023, Haley joined the Earshot staff on a part time basis.
